The Drawn

Then those who feared the Lord talked with each other, and the Lord listened and heard. A scroll of rememberance was written in His presence concerning those who feared the Lord and honoured His name.
"They will be mine, " says the Lord Almighty, "in a day when I make up my treasured possession. I will spare them, just as in compassion a man spares his son who serves him. And you will again see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not. Malachi 3:16,17

There is a gathering of those who are hot for their God. Those who have diluted their faith are fading. All that is needed is to turn and come again. The hot fires burn brightly and get brighter. They seek their God and find Him.

Just as we are drawn to those who love us and are there for us, so does the Lord. he is good, patient and kind and His love is better than any counterfeit. As we bathe in Him daily He delights in us. Our attention captures His attention. Amen!

Today I spent a lot more time than I ever have been able to do wih my youngest grandson. As he is the last of five he is crowed out by the noises above him. However today was different. I thought I would be babysitting 5 but only have 3. The two oldest boys play together most of the time and so Olllie and I sat and played large Leggo. He came alive because Nan spent time with him. We have got on famously and I now have a friend.

I took the boys shopping this morning and bought them all helmets as their dog had eaten theirs. Their dog is a big dog who chews everything. They needed helmets to go to the park and ride bikes and scooters. They love their helmets and are grateful that Nan bothered. Ollie loves his helmet especially. I am glad to be able to bless. I am sure the Lord is the same or better. Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
