The Word is Read

When the seventh month came and all the Israelites were settled in their towns, all the people gathered together in the square in front of the Water Gate. They asked Ezra the scribe to bring the book of the law of Moses that the Lord had given Israel. On the first day of the seventh month, Ezra the priest brought the law beiges the assembly of men, women, and all who could listen with understanding. Nehemiah 7:1-3

For me to think that I would never hear the scriptures except when someone stood like this to read makes me think I would dry up inside.

I remember the first time I bought a bible. I still did not understand it until I was born again. I look at precious family who do not read it and what they are missing is such a joy. As Ezra read the people cried.

The word of God is the most precious thing I could hold. It is full of my God, His words to me and His ways. My spirit thirsts for it.

A mind that is not born again sees judgement and harshness. The born again heart sees a saviour walking through the pages. Amen!

Invite Him in. Allow Him to be your light. Amen!
