Discernment
Look, I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as serpents and harmless as doves. Matthew 10:16
The challenge is being able to see inside a person. What does God see? There are people I meet that I see the hurt and pain, there are others I see villainy and avoid them. A suave looking man or woman means nothing, what is in their heart, where are they positioned in regards to things of God.
A person may say they want nothing to do with God, but sometimes there is grace there for them and they have an opportunity. I remember nursing such a woman. She was rich and a toff but I loved her because God loved her. She did not frighten me, in fact I laughed at her. I saw a different person to most. Most did not like her or tried to impress her. For a period of about two years God gave her time to come to Him but she refused. She died blind in a nursing home, all her spoils meant nothing, she was despised and unloved.
When I sense God's grace toward a person, I prevail. But if He is not there, neither am I.
Find people He is gracious towards and work with them. If you can't do this, find someone who can but do not be bewitched by outward appearances, wait for God!
