Ears and Eyes

Then the disciples came up and asked Him, "why do you speak to them in parables?"

He answered them, "Because the secrets of the Kingdom of heaven have been given to you to know, but it has not been given to them.

For the reason I speak to them in parables, because looking they do not see, and hearing they do not listen or understand. Isaiah's prophesy was fulfilled in them, which says:

You will listen and listen,

And never understand;

And you will look and look, yet never perceive. 

For this people's heart has grown callous;

Their ears hard of hearing, and they have shut their eyes;

Otherwise they might see with their eyes and hear with their ears,

Understand with their hearts and turn back-

And I would cure them. Matthew 13:10,11;13-15

I am praying for such people. That they might hear and see. Lord give them ears to hear, eyes to see and hearts to respond. I see many in my world who are like these. I know it took people praying for me to bring me to Christ. I am grateful that they prayed, so grateful. Amen?

The disciples respnded in faith, straight away, and followed Jesus. Yet most of them did not fully grasp the truth of Hus death and resurrection until it had happened.

My constant prayer is that I will continue to have ears to hear and eyes to see what my God is doing in my life, that I will have a heart to respond and not harden my heart. Amen!
