Lost Sheep

Then Jesus went to all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness. When He saw the crowds, He felt compassion for them, because they were weary and worn out, like sheep without a shepherd. Then He said to the disciples, "The harvest is abundant, but the workers are few. Therefore pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into the harvest. Matthew 9:35-38

The harvest is plentiful but we don't see it. Why is that? Perhaps we are looking out through the wrong window. Perhaps we have crafted a mindset on what that should look like and when we don't see it, we say, it isn't there. Yet, if we walk in our calling, get into His heart and slow down and walk into our community, with eyes wide open, we see them. They are there. Lost!!!

I am surrounded with divorcees. As I walk my dogs they come out of the woodwork. Because I am friendly I am striking up conversation I am finding the sheep who are lost. So many lost sheep, weary and unhappy.

Tonight I took another one through the first three lessons, tomorrow night another, Thursday night a group.

Another thing happened tonight as I walked. An 80something male offered to walk with me. I wondered if he was lost and demented. I did not take him up on his offer. He said he would see me tomorrow. I wonder!

The lost sheep are everywhere. Get connected! Amen!!! Get out of your own self thought and into God thought and open your eyes. They are there!
