A Faithful Man

Now I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you soon so that I also may be encouraged when I hear news about you. For I have no one else like-minded who will genuinely care about your interests; all seek their own interests, not those of Jesus Christ.
But you know his proven character, because he has served with me in the gospel ministry like a son with a father. Philippians 2:19-21

Have you experienced this? Do you find it hard to find a faithful messenger, worker or friend? How good is it when you have such a person? And if you have such a person do you value them highly?

A few days ago I wrote how Ireland has voted for same sex marriages and now, tonight, I hear that the leader of the opposition, in Australia, has tabled a motion to have a vote in Australia. Not only did this man's party put us millions into debt they now seek to destroy a central part of our society. I am disappointed in this man and his party.

We vote politicians into power to protect us and our ways of life. To assume that the majority of Australians want this is wrong. I am praying for God's grace and mercy upon our government. It is a harrowing time to be in power. I am reminded of the saying: 'absolute power corrupts absolutely.'

Have mercy Lord! Amen!
