Jesus, Lord Almighty
The mystery of godliness is great:
He was manifested in the flesh,
Vindicated in the Spirit,
Seen by angels,
Preached among the nations,
Believed on in the world, taken up in glory. 1 Tim 3:16
The above is a poetic exposition of the gospel. I love how Paul refers to the life of Christ as: The Mystery of Godliness.
Jesus was the epitome of godliness. He came in the flesh, dwelt among us and walked in purity, never once submitting to sin. What a man!
He was vindicated in the Spirit, the Spirit descended upon like a dove, God Himself spoke form heaven at His baptism, and again at his transfiguration on top of the mountain. He was ministered to by angels after being tempted and again in the garden before his crucifixion.
When He was born Angels appeared singing glory to God in the highest. All the spirit world knew about Him, the enemy feared Him and mankind mostly missed the point. Yet those who believed He gave them power to become sons of God. Glory!!!!
