A New Day
"Look he days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Judah- like the covenant that I made with their ancestors on the day I took them by the hands to lead them out of the land of Egypt.
I disregarded them, says the Lord, because they did not continue in My covenant. But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lorx:
I will put My laws into their minds and write them on their hearts.
I will be their God and they will be My people." Hebrews 8:8-10
The above was taken, in part, from Jeremiah 31:31-34
I am so grateful Jesus came, I could not keep the law in a pink fit, especially when I know that I only have to think about a matter. Envy, jealousy, anger, hate, lust all get in the way of us keeping the commandments, however when I invited Jesus into my heart, He wrote a new commandment and it is with His power I accomplish the keeping of it.
Repentance is wonderful! Being able to repent is tops. How would we be if unable to repent? Grace sits waiting, ever waiting to cover us, it is like a puppy. Chasing us down wanting to jump on us and lick us at every invitation.
Yield to grace!
