A Perfect Pattern

Now the main point of what is being said is this: We have this kind of high priest (a perfect one without blemish), who sat down at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, a minister of the sanctuary and true tabernacle that was set up by the Lord and not man. For every high priest is appointed to offer gifts and sacrifices; therefore it was necessary for this priest also to have something to offer. Now if He were on earth He wouldn't be a priest, since there are those offering the gifts prescribed by the law. These serve as a copy and shadow of the heavenly things, as Moses was warned when he was about to complete the tabernacle. For God said, "Be careful at you make everything according to the pattern that was shown to you on the mountain. " but Jesus has now obtained a superior ministry, and to that degree He is the mediator of a better covenant, which has been legally enacted on better promises. Hebrews 8:1-6

When Moses was shown the pattern to build the tabernacle, I wonder if God revealed the heavenly reality? Wouldn't that be cool!

I wonder why the heavenly tabernacle needed the inner and outer courts, when God is everywhere there? Why was there need for sacrifice there? I know we sacrifice praise, we worship but what else is sacrificed there? Jesus did it all at Calvary! But what about before Calvary? What happened then?

Questions, questions, questions! My life is filled with questions! The depths and heights of God fascinate me, His mind, His ways, are foremost! What makes Him like He is? Why did He create so delicately, yet so strongly? I want to know more about his love. Why does He love so?

All I do know is: He loves, He sacrifices, He reaches out, continually. He did it again today. I went to hear a speaker at a business meeting. How good is God. I knew I had to meet the lady for a coffee. Two hours flew, she is coming to dinner, she is hungry, a nice lady and hopefully a good friend.

All that is within me is singing! I love my God and all that He does! How awesome is He?

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
