By Faith Our Lives Will Speak

By faith Noah, after he was warned about what was not yet seen and motivated by godly fear, built an ark to deliver his family. By faith he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness that comes by faith. Hebrews 11:7

In Australia we have just had a Prime Minster deposed and replaced by a man he originally replaced. I have seen nasty, violent hateful slander against our prime minister by the media and people on social media. It is as if all hell has been let loose.

I can imagine in Noah's day the criticism he would have received for building a boat inland, when rains and floods had never been seen. We are told that men were very wicked in that day. Our prime minister was replaced by a man who dose not believe in God and who is in favour of same sex marriage. For all the clever things the new PM has done he has not deemed it clever to be a believer nor embraced the gospel of life.

I am not about to follow suit and dissect the new PM, that is not my role. I think one thing our last PM missed was he was not judge either, he was very critical at times himself.

Now to us. We have been warned about the days we live in and the wickedness that we see. We are called to be separate from it and be a light in a dark place. We have a role to perform, salt and light in a dying world. By the grace of God we can fulfil our mandate. Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
