Enduring to the End

So don't throw away your confidence which has a great reward. For you need endurance, so that after you have done God's will, you may receive what was promised.
For yet in a very little while, the Coming One will come and not delay. But My righteous one will live by faith; and if he draws back, I have no pleasure in him. Hebrews 10:35-38

Ever had a winning ticket in a raffle and thrown it away? Imagine having the entry ticket to your favourite band and throwing it out in the trash? We have something even better: we have right to access the throne of God by the sacrifice Christ made.

Should we miss our step and fail to enter in, turn away in disbelief before that day, how sad to watch all those who were faithful sit down at the marriage feast with the lamb (Rev 19:6-9) and know we could have been there but are now in eternal darkness being taunted by the one who deceived us to disbelieve?

Jesus taught about the 10 virgins: five wise and five foolish. The five wise were prepared to go into the feast, the foolish were not. We must be ready, He is coming back at any moment. Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
