Foundations and Money

Your life should be free from the love of money. Be satisfied with what you have, for He Himself said, ' I  will never leave you or forsake you.' Therefore, we may boldly say:
The Lord is my helper;
I will not be afraid,
What can man do to me? Hebrews 13:5,6

The love of money therefore, comes out of mistrust of the One who says: He will never leave us. He is judged as unfaithful when we find ourselves in places stretched and in need. When I am in such places it is for me to find Him there, or conversely, because I am where He is not, I must move. Then I must find out the reason and if I am where He is not, I need to get back to where He is, but if I am having to find a Him in the new place, then find Him I must, instead of going to fear.

My God is good! He supplies all I need. He is my lover and friend. I can trust Him. Of late I have been relaxing into my business and placing less pressure on myself to be doing or running to the drum of another. In business there is so much noise, so many voices telling you where you should be, or what you should be doing. There are constant offers of courses and the challenge is finding what adds to what I am called to do, rather than subtracts.

My God is establishing me just where He wants me. He is opening doors just where He wants me and I have to trust him in the quiet moments. Was the strategy good? If it was then walk it out and trust my God. If it was wrong or has flaws, it needs to change.

I watch many new houses be established in my estate. The foundations are not very exciting, but they are very important. Get them right and the house will stand, without cracks, for many days. Get them wrong and in no time at all the nasty cracks develop and the new owners are very sad indeed. What do I want my life to look like? The foundations must be strong. What do I want my business to look like? The foundations must be strong.

Building on Christ is the best foundation I can find. If I have Him as the cornerstone, I will be fine, no matter what comes. Amen!
