Moses Had Vision For a Better Day

By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be called the son of the Pharoah's daughter and chose to suffer with the people of God rather than to enjoy the short lived pleasure of sin. For he considered the reproach because of the Messiah to be greater wealth than the treasures of Egypt, since his attention was on the reward. Hebrews 11:24-26

The Lord's hand was on Moses. I imagine his parents were in prayer for him. They knew he was special and that God had a plan for him. Moses was drawn by God, compelled by Him into the desert where he stayed for 40 years. I wonder if he thought it was all over? But God knew it wasn't!

The forty years in the backside of the desert were preparing Moses to walk in humility before Him. God did not need an upstart, an impetituous young man who acted in his emotion. The time out back cured him of all such actions, so much so he did not believe he could speak to the Pharoah.

It is interesting that this scripture says that ' Moses considered the reproach because of the Messiah.' This would mean he had far reaching vision for days ahead. It almost seems out of context with the Old Testament account of Moses. What happened that we do not know about?
