Stay Faithful

Therefore, brothers, since we have boldness to enter the sanctuary through the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way He had opened up for us through the curtain (that is, His flesh) and since we have a great high priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed in water. Let us hold to the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us be concerned about one another in order to promote love and good works, not staying away from our worship meetings, as some habitually do, but encouraging each other, all the more as you see the day drawing near. Hebrews 10:19-25

We must walk in faith of the new life Jesus gave us, not in rememberance of sin or our past. Faith calls us forward into the new which God has for us.

We are cleansed from our sin. The author calls us to remain faithful, holding to the confession of our hope without wavering. Now that takes dedication and refusal to be drawn into all the market places along the way.

We are to encourage one another and this can only be done when we are in fellowship with each other.
I know that I want to go to church to be with my church family, it is there a I am strong and refreshed so that Ai can go out into the world and bring a victory. Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
