Why Keep Rebelling?

Oh sinful nation, people weighed down with iniquity, brood of evil doers, depraved children! They have abandoned the Lord; they have despised the Holy One of Israel, they have turned their backs on Him.
Why do you want more beatings? Why do you keep on rebelling? The whole head is hurt, and the whole heart is sick. Isaiah1:4,5

 Our nations are turning away from their roots, a Christian heritage. Standing outside Christ and refusing to be delivered and healed does not make much sense, but many do it, believing their are their own masters. Ha! Ha! Satan has deceived again!

On the other side is God reaching out, calling them in. Why come in?

Some friends from church have just had their first baby and it is a little girl. We have watched their journey through pregnancy, on Facebook. Now the little daughter has arrived and I sense intense joy. I remember the pleasure of having my daughter. Something awakens inside we never knew possible, such love.

Now, if we humans can love so much, and Jesus Himself told us in the gospels that the love of the Father is far superior, can you imagine experiencing love greater than the love for a little baby, but it is there and on tap.

How do we access it? Come to Him and be real, tell Him sorry for doing your own thing and invite Him in to transform your life and be Lord. Be prepared for a loving transformation and an ongoing guide. He is the best! Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
