The Lord Used Me
The Lord God has given Me the tongue of those who are instructed to know how to sustain the weary with a word. He awakens me each morning; He awakens my ear to listen like those being instructed. The Lord God opened my ear, and I was not rebellious; I did not turn back. Isaiah 50:1-5
This passage is believed to be soaking about Jesus as it goes on the say: 'I gave my back to those who beat me, and to those who tore out my beard...' Yet the above I take to heart and listen. I am here for others, when I see them hurting I call, I give an encouraging word. I must keep my spirit sensitive to the lord so He can lead me.
Last night as I left church iMy thoughts turned to someone who was missing and had let friends on Facebook know he was struggling. I called and we had a good conversation, he did need encouragement, the fact that someone noticed and called was most important.
Each of us have experiences in life which soften us to the plight of others. This is the foundation on which God builds His church, His heart is there for others. Without suffering we are arrogant and insensitive, we trample the bruised reed, the crushed and wounded go unnoticed.
If you are broken, stop feeling sorry for yourself, lay down you raw, bleeding wounded soul and allow God to use you for His glory. Amen!
