Eternal.Calling

He has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.
2 Timothy 1:9 HCSB

We are saved for a holy calling. What does this mean? I am saved not.just to escape hell, but to fulfill a purpose. This them requires me to find that purpose. Thr word 'holy" means set apart. I am not of this world, i am in it as a missionary on a mission: to seek and save that which is lost. To bring the lost home to.rhe Father, to set them free from bondage and bring them into His glorious light.

I am staying the night at my new friend's house. Last night we walked by the beach in her home town amd as we did i shared the good news with her.i told her about the joy that comes from knowing Christ. Only the love of God is faithful and true. Only God will.not fail, all.men will fail. Only God is good. Only God is unchanging. Amen!

I invited my friend to ask Christ into her heart. Before I leave today i will again ask her and offer to pray. We are bother heading overseas to different countries. We may not see each other again. I pray we do, but cannot be sure. One thing i know i want to see this lady in etsrnity. Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
