Giving Plans

Now about the collection for the saints: You should do the same as I instructed the Galatian churches. On the first day of the week,  each of you is to set something aside and save in keeping with how he prospers, so that no collections will need to be made when I come.
1 Cor 16:1,2

How practical is this advice? When building fynd offerings come along in church, annually in most, a plan to save for the event can be made. As a financial planner i kbow the benefit of planning. Even if the method which i plan to use to save may fail, somehow the Lord remembers the goal and provides through various routes, like a tax retun, an inspiration to sell something unused etc.

I have been trying to save for my trip to Nepal. All air fares have been paid, accomodation paid, visa bought, innoculations paid for but the trek still is unpaid, or at least that is the way it appears. However, having been in the Way for some years now i have gotten used to God's surprises and i can feel one brewing.

God remembers and we need to trust Him. He is always good! Always?
