God's Plans

Whatever you do, do it enthusiastically, as something done for the Lord and not for men,  knowing that you will receive the reward of an inheritance from the Lord. You serve the Lord Christ.

So.many ideas are great ideas. So many visions are great visions. Today i was asked by a missionary to Nepal what i wanted to do and see happen in Nepal. I said: "i want to be used by God to build the kingdom of God, in whatever way He wants me to do that."

I have had a vision for my business and worked to build what i saw, but yeilded to the Lord and at the end found I had built other than what I saw. I had built people ready to move on to tbe next step. I had not built an organisation, at least that was what i thought i would house all the people in. Instead i built people who were ready to move on into their own space.

I had a success but not the one i had planned, rather it was one God had planned. I suspect that now i can be trusted to repeat the process in a new land. We will see. As God is definitely in charge and i am His servant. My heart rejoices that I can be trusted.

Oh how i love Him. I LOVE his plans and His purposes and most of all His ways.

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
