Holy Place

Don’t you yourselves know that you are God’s sanctuary and that the Spirit of God lives in you?
1 Corinthians 3:16 HCSB

A sanctuary is a holy place. If you have experienced holy respect for a church building then you will have some idea what is required here. Picture that place, would you trash it, speak ill of it, set up beds in it for adulterous flings, create a money laundering ring there? Most would be horrified with such suggestions, but some would not. Desecration requires a hard heart.

Now, you are that beautiful church, even more so beautiful for each believer has the presence of the Holy Spirit inside and candles are not required there, neither is holy water or ritual. It is a place of total freedom. Let's visit this beautiful place now. Close your eyes and imagine its beauty. Sense the peace, the presence of God. Sit and rest a while.

What else did you find? Did you meet the love of God for you to bathe in today? It is the best fragrance. As you smell the fragrance take it with you and visit it regularly today. Take it with you to work, into the neighbourhood, to your colleagues, your clients, your family and watch them be refreshed, take His peace to them and watch them relax. Amen!

Now, this is being a Christian! Enjoy!
