Love Covers a Multitude of Sins

Above all, maintain intense love for each other, since love covers a multitude of sins. 1Peter 4:8
 
I don't know about you, but if I am loving intensely, I can't hate, criticise, envy or steal. However, I think this is the greatest challenge as well. Keeping my love on takes some doing when I am going through the grinder and desperately want someone to lift me and instead they sit on me and cry about how they feel.
 
At moments like this the Holy Spirit makes Himself available for a withdrawal of grace from His abundance bank.
 
As I prepare to go on a missions trip all hell has broken loose: My dog almost dies, My finances have been squeezed, I've had family fall out with me and today I find out my mum is back in hospital, and my travelling companion is sick. Ha!
 
Well, praise the Lord anyway! My God is able to bring all things together. He is provider, healer, restorer and peace. Ah! peace.
 
Tomorrow I go to have coffee with a few ladies in my hood. I love what God is doing in the hood, it is nothing short of awesome. May His Kingdom come, His will be done! Amen and Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
