Trust the Lord- Again and Again

Cast your burden on the Lord , and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.
Psalms 55:22 HCSB

Throughtout the bulk of this Psalm David is pouring out his distress. He is being betrayed by a friend. 'I am in restless turmoil  with my complaint because of my enemy's voice, because of the pressure of the wicked. They bring down disaster on me and harass me in anger.'verses 2,3

When we are harassed and oppressed we are crushed in spirit. After pouring out his heart, David finds hope in the Lord.

While rhe buden is with us, it troubles us with the challenge: "how are you going to sort me out?' There is a very easy solution- cast all your cares on the Lord, for He cares for you.

I know Pilgrim needed to discover that he did not need to carry his burden but give it to the One who is the burden solver. We are not made to carry burdens, we are not donkeys. We may act like asses now and then but a good dose of repentance fixes that.

Today, I have one day to go before my trip to Nepal and i am troubled by work related problems to solve. I have asked the Lord for solutions. At times problems are beyond my capacity to solve, but I know the master problem solver. Amen! He is good!
