You are my Portion Lord

Lord , You are my portion and my cup of blessing; You hold my future. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance.
Psalms 16:5‭-‬6 HCSB

The Lord brings good things to us. He has great plans for us. He is our satisfaction and joy. Nothing that captures our hearts and minds can compare to His goodness. He is our exceeding great reward.

Pleasant plaved await us, even in times of challenge and heartache there are good times in God for us. If we can just get out of our own mindset and seek Him, we will find beauty and blessing.

Seek Him first! Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
