A Living Hope


Praise the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. According to His great mercy, He has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead and into an inheritance that is imperishable, uncorrupted, and unfading, kept in heaven for you. You are being protected by God’s power through faith for a salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. You rejoice in this, though now for a short time you have had to struggle in various trials so that the genuineness of your faith — more valuable than gold, which perishes though refined by fire — may result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. You love Him, though you have not seen Him. And though not seeing Him now, you believe in Him and rejoice with inexpressible and glorious joy, because you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
1 Peter 1:3‭-‬9 HCSB

We have been given new birth, a new life, sanctified and made holy by Him. A life in which we need not struggle to be good and right but one where He, Jesus made us right.

Salvation is uncorrupted and unfading. Jesus.is seated at the right hand of the Father, the place of victory and honour. We are given new hope in Him.

We are protected by God's power through faith for a salvation that is ready to be revealed. Even if we struggle in various trials- they are so the genuinesus of our faith might result in God receiving the praise and glory. As we are tested we have choices: will I sit down and whine and give in or will I pick up the sword of truth and cut my way through. Thr book of Revelation says: they overcame the devil by the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony. Note, it was not just one, say salvation (the blood of the lamb) or our testimony- why then we would glory in our own ability. It was both. As i want in gratitude for the sacrifice I go to war with my voice and speak what the word of God says about my trial.

God a himself said: I will not permit you to be tested beyond what you can endure. Believe it. Stand up and fight. Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
