Above All I can Ask


Now to Him who is able to do above and beyond all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us — to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
Ephesians 3:20‭-‬21 HCSB

Paul's heart is bursting forth with praise for his God. Chapter 3 tells us of the grace God gave to Paul 'to preach to the Gentiles about God's incalculable riches of the Messiah and to shed light for all about the administration of the mystery hidden for ages in God who created all things.'verses 8 and 9.

In verses 14-19 Paul prays for his readers that they might know the height and depth of God's love.

He then goes on the passage above. Paul knows God is able to do above and beyond all that we ask or think. What are you asking and thinking? I have been challenged to pray for big stuff, beyond all I have asked before. I want to walk in the big arena of the kingdom of God. How about you?

As I walk in all God has for me I show forth His glory. Glory is attractive. Why not rise up and shine! Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
