He is God


For there is one God and one mediator between God and humanity, Christ Jesus, Himself human, who gave Himself — a ransom for all, a testimony at the proper time.
1 Timothy 2:5‭-‬6 HCSB

When God revealed Himself to Moses in the burning bush, when Moses asked "Who will I say has sent me?" God replied " "I am!"

God has never had a problem with who He is- He just is! It is human minds that struggle. Hown can they believe in a God who is? God demonstrates His power through the miracles He performed. The last miracle in the deliverance of the people from Egypt, was the angel of death going though the land and taking the life of the firstborn unless the blood of the lamb covered the lintel of the door post.

The first miracle of the entry into a new land was the parting of the Red Sea. The people walked through on dry land.

Today God demonstrates His power in many different ways. The greatest is Him coming to live in our hearts. How can this be? The God of the universe can live in a human heart? Yes He sends His Spirit, the Holy Spirit to dwell within.

Hi Spirit then guides us, comforts us, and reveals the Son of God to us. God sent His Son into the world to show us the way to Him. This Son men crucified, but He rose again, defeating death. This Son went back to heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father.

Today I am challenged to believe and walk in faith. As i choose faith in Him He rewards me with His presence. What other God does this? He leads us into all truth- there is no deception or darkness in Him. Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
