He Protects Me

Lord , how my foes increase! There are many who attack me. Many say about me, “There is no help for him in God.” Selah But You, Lord , are a shield around me, my glory, and the One who lifts up my head. I cry aloud to the Lord , and He answers me from His holy mountain. Selah I lie down and sleep; I wake again because the Lord sustains me. I am not afraid of the thousands of people who have taken their stand against me on every side. Rise up, Lord ! Save me, my God! You strike all my enemies on the cheek; You break the teeth of the wicked. Salvation belongs to the Lord ; may Your blessing be on Your people. Selah
Psalms 3:1‭-‬8 HCSB

I have been praying and fasting this week and I can honestly say that my sight has been locked firmly on the Lord and seeking Him. I have not noticed enemies. I know they are there but in this time they are locked out. My attention is on Him. As I fast my attention is not on me. I am seeking God.

I have discovered something. As I seek God and give Him my food and time, He protects and blesses me. I have still worked but all that was reluctant has come back. All that was stolen has come back. I had one man, who I thought was uninsurable, be accepted at standard rates and even though I discovered he had not disclosed something to me and I had to call the insurer, thfry accepted Him. I will be paid well for all I have done this week.

As I contemplated the tithe, again, I saw that as my goal is to give more, and I named what I want to give, my faith had increased. I AM EXCITED BECAUSE OF WHAT I can do in giving. Now I will live for what I can give and God will pour out His blessing.

As I fast I am tithing my food and my time to God. This is miraculous territory. My prayers are on fire and I now know I can pray great things as I fast and pray. Fasting and praying is not a gloomy, horrid time. It is a time of power and might. In fasting I am released and protected. The power of God is here!

Stepping into God-ordained territory is the best thing a Christian can do. Amen!
