Trusting God to use a Leader

For it is God’s will that you silence the ignorance of foolish people by doing good. As God’s slaves, live as free people, but don’t use your freedom as a way to conceal evil.
1 Peter 2:15‭-‬16 HCSB

This chapter is full of a call to holiness. It starts with: so rid yourselves of all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all slander.

In verse 11 Peter says: I urge you as strangers and temporary residents to abstain from fleshly desires that war against you.

In verse 13 he says: submit to every human authority because of the Lord. Yesterday I had the US election report on my computer screen and was monitoring it. A reporter here is Australia said: "whoever gets Florida wins the election." So I started to pray for God's will to be done. As I watched Florida it changed colours a few times but became solid red, Trumps colour, and I discovered who would be president, the reporter was right. At the end of the day Trump won. Now to us in Australia that is a scary proposition as we heard all his isolationist speeches. We have depended on America for aid in defence. Now we must trust God to use this man. He has been chosen so we must honour and trust God.

Christians cannot afford to be vindictive, judgemental and rebellious. We have a job to do, silence ignorant men and women. As we walk in righteousness we show forth the nature of Christ. As we walk in faith, we display the glory of Christ.

Remember the world waits in anxious longing for the revealing of the Sons of God. Let's stand up and show the world how it is done. Living with joy in out innermost beings, stepping out in faith. Amen!

I can trust God to use a man like Donald Trump, for God is God and Donald is a man. Amen. In fact air am excited to see what God will do.
