Surrender to Grace


For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift — not from works, so that no one can boast.
Ephesians 2:8‭-‬9 HCSB

Ah! Grace, wonderful grace! When I consider how I came to Christ, it was Him pursuing me, weaving His arms around my life and Him drawing me. He finally spoke to me, in my spirit, and said:" Go to Anne!" Now Anne was a born again Christian and fellow nurse who had shared the gospel with me. It was God orchestrating the whole process and carrying me forward.(now there is another whole story)

Where did faith come into it? It was just an act of obedience. I went, I listened, I prayed. My faith was a grain of sand, a mustard seed.

If you are sitting waiting for great faith, forget it! Start with the small grain. That is all you need! Respond and obey! Remember it is not up to You. Forget the saying: if it is to be it is up to me. Fooey! God is in charge. Allow Him to be in charge and respond, just respond. Lay down self and respond. That includes self pity. Amen! Let go.of.self and enjoy the adventure with God. He is good! So good! Amen!

Surrender is such a sweet, sweet thing! Like warm oil running down the head, and a good, gentle massage. Relax and enjoy God's love!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
