Spirit Walking


Not that I have already reached the goal or am already fully mature, but I make every effort to take hold of it because I also have been taken hold of by Christ Jesus. Brothers, I do not consider myself to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and reaching forward to what is ahead, I pursue as my goal the prize promised by God’s heavenly call in Christ Jesus.

What is my goal in Christ? For me, to be more like Him. Yesterday, whilst travelling on planes to get to Nepal I watched a movie to pass the time. Funnily it had a Nepali background and was wound around a spiritual theme often presented in Eastern religions. I know they are fiction because the Nepali I know do not share this belief.

However it did remind me of a time I was highly in tune with the Holy Spirit and walked in the realm of the Spirit in a vivid and real way. The joy that was there is unmistakable. The power and belief in the power of God was palpable. I want to use my time in Nepal to re-connect with the Holy Spirit in a greater way. Amen!

As I reach ahead I had a dream today of someone from my past. In the dream he came to tell me he had pancreatic cancer and that his wife had left him and he was coming to me for help. In the dream the Spirit spoke to me and said: ' You know you are the answer.' Interesting! I will wait and see it that was a God dream or my lack of food.

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
