He is Coming

“Now learn this parable from the fig tree: As soon as its branch becomes tender and sprouts leaves, you know that summer is near. In the same way, when you see all these things, recognize that He is near — at the door! I assure you: This generation will certainly not pass away until all these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away.
Matthew 24:32‭-‬35 HCSB

Chapter 24 of Matthew deals with the second coming of Christ. It is a sobering read. In the middle of all things is a verse that says: many will be offended. I see this. Many Christians are jaded as things don't work out how they believe they should. All I can pray is: Lord have mercy. Offense happens when others and even God disappoints.

Friday night I watched a programme on the recovery of people after bush fires. The interviewer spoke to a man who's wife wad experiencing a long illness, then his house was burnt down. He railed against God and accused Him of being too harsh. Fortunately he recovered, many do not.

We have to find our faith and learn to trust again. Our Lord is returning soon. To have Him appear and have our hearts full of offense and know we had been found unprepared, how trajic! We need to be ready! amen! Let the offense go and return to Him!

If God has said He will do something, He will! He is coming! Amen!
