Oh Look and See!


I keep the Lord in mind always. Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
Psalms 16:8 HCSB

Keeping the Lord in mind always is a choice. I can choose to be anxious and fear my circumstances or look at Him. He has to be my anchor, my rock, my all.

The alternative comes from anxious toil and the thought: 'I must fix this!' No! I must take my hands off and allow God to fix this. He must be God, ruler, supreme counsellor, the ultimate authority. Amen!

How good is our God? He is at my right hand.....I will not be shaken. He is my life and my energy.

On Thursday night I went star gazing with a few astronomy buddies. I happen to love the nebulae, these are the places stars are being formed, thy are beautiful places. When you look into the night sky with the naked eye you see cloudy little sections but when you magnify them you see beautiful colours. One of the men had his camera attached to the telescope and then to a projector onto the side of the huge shed we were using to house the telescopes-beautiful!

We need to see God as He is, a beautiful presence right beside us. Gaze and see. Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
