Teach a youth about the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.

This is a promise I hang onto as I watch my children navigate life. I taught my children to love God, love prayer and love God's word.

I am older and have more wisdom now, than when I raised my children, and see things they do not see. My prayer is they see and walk with the Lord in the path He has for them.

I pray for their children that they will also know the Lord and seek Him.

I am so grateful for my great great grandmother being a godly woman, my great grandmother being a godly woman and my great aunt being a godly woman. I know they prayed for their families and I am a fruit of that prayer.

Prayer, example and a love for the word of God are good gifts to your children. Amen!
