That We Might Live Through Him

God’s love was revealed among us in this way: God sent His One and Only Son into the world so that we might live through Him.
1 John 4:9 HCSB

Why did God send His Son? To forgive us for our sins? Yes! But here John tells us: that we might live through Him. I recently went and saw the new Star Wars movie: The Last Jedi. In the movie Luke Skywalker said: "The force belongs to everyone, not just the Jedi." Christ and living through Him belongs to everyone, not just priests.

I grew up in the Catholic faith where the priests had the edge on the rest, so it seemed. In the Old Testament this was the case. However Jesus came that 'all men might come to a knowledge:
'and so that all the peoples of the earth may know that Yahweh is God. There is no other!'
1 Kings 8:60

Jesus is the only way for all men, women and children. He is the fabric, the glue that holds all things together. He is the Alpha andn Omega. The beginning and end of it all! He is the only song! He is the cause of all songs. He is the melody, the tune.

Remember, in Him we live and move and have our being!
