Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.
Romans 12:2 HCSB
How many times have you read this scripture? We know that Paul is urging us not to be confirmed to this age. What does that mean? Don't try to impress with what you wear, buy or do. It also tells us not to think the same, but to focus on being renewed in our mind and thinking. But why? So that we can discern what is the good, perfect and pleasing will of God is.
This is remaining 'in the Spirit.' Or abiding in the vine? When I am attached and linked in His life force flows through me and I know what He is thinking. What are His thoughts towards us? What are His thoughts about this day or those around us?
Perhaps also, abiding brings us closer to His amazing power and authority. Amen!
