God You are so Good!

Because of Your word and according to Your will, You have revealed all these great things to Your servant. This is why You are great, Lord God . There is no one like You, and there is no God besides You, as all we have heard confirms.
2 Samuel 7:21‭-‬22 HCSB

David had planned to build the Lord a house but God sent Nathan the prophet to tell him that his son would build it but not before God told him He had been happy dwelling in a tent and had never complained or asked for a house. God then went on to say how He would bless David and how his name would be remembered.

David was so impacted he went and sat in God's presence and said the above to the Lord. This is a responsive prayer to God's goodness.

David loved God and God loved David. God was a father to David. We have the same Father who, because we chose to believe in His Son, pours out His love towards us. Remember in all the years of David running from Saul God still loved David. God used the bad times to mould David into a king.
