Confess Life!
For if anyone considers himself to be something when he is nothing, he deceives himself. But each person should examine his own work, and then he will have a reason for boasting in himself alone, and not in respect to someone else. For each person will have to carry his own load.
Galatians 6:3-5 HCSB
This passage highlights that the reason we boast is to show ourselves better than our counterparts, mostly. Yet Paul is telling us that if we want to boast then compare ourselves to when we were perhaps not engaged or performing to our optimum.
Carrying our own load means being totally responsible for our own performance or behaviour. Therefore we cannot blame others as this displays a victim mentality and we have every reason to succeed, because Christ won us the victory, after all.
I have come to notice how hard I actually have to work to be a winner. If I have a negative mindset I must first overcome and confess to myself: " I have the mind of Christ, I am blessed, I am loved, I am rich, famous and blessed." I know I am meant to rule and lead others but if I stay down and defeated I fail.
In a simple game of cards with my mother this really comes home to me. I have proven that positive confession and mindset wins, every time, and that the opposite is also true.
So....choose life and win!
