He is Near

This is what the Lord says: They found favor in the wilderness — the people who survived the sword. When Israel went to find rest, the Lord appeared to him from far away. I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore, I have continued to extend faithful love to you.
Jeremiah 31:2‭-‬3 HCSB

For the Christian rest is found in Christ. He is our rest from all striving. Turmoil may surround us but He is with us
Right in the middle of the storm He sustains us.

For us, our God is not far away. He is close. As I worship Him I sense His presence and know He is near. When I am far away, caught in sin or wrong thinking I can move back as I humble myself and repent.

At times I sense carnality around me. I have to seek the Lord and press into Him and be washed clean of worldly ways and thinking.

He is always near and always faithful. Trust Him! Amen!
