Protection

God is our refuge and strength, a helper who is always found in times of trouble. God is within her; she will not be toppled. God will help her when the morning dawns.

For me, I struggle to embrace the real or existing as opposed to ideal. This morning I was praying about this in regard to what I expect of authorities. We live in a world where authorities are attacked and any flaw is flaunted, making the individual appear worthless.

In business the harsh reality of the treatment by those in authority and how God deals with us are vastly different. Yet as i read my bible today I find my God giving me a promise: 'you will not be toppled'. In this I must trust!

I was praying: 'help me Lord to embrace the reality and not be so, idealistic. I am too hurt by ruthlessness and want grace but this is only found in my God. He alone is good. Amen!

I can only imagine what this world will be like when Jesus returns to rule. He will conflict with every form of government and authority and I can fully understand why mankind will rebel against Him. His ways are so high and He is just, so just. Lord, may your kingdom come! Amen!
