What Does God Want?

Would the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams or with ten thousand streams of oil? Should I give my firstborn for my transgression, the child of my body for my own sin? Mankind, He has told you what is good and what it is the Lord requires of you: to act justly, to love faithfulness, and to walk humbly with your God.
Micah 6:7‭-‬8 HCSB

The Lord does want sacrifice of the innocent but rather to repent of my sin, love justice and mercy and walk humbly with my God.

We love justice as we have compassion on others, we love mercy as we are willing to be vessels of grace for others. We love faithfulness as we cherish it in others and give it as a gift to others and our God.

Walking humbly with my God is giving deference to His will over my determination for satisfaction. This humility disallows judgement on my part and my desire for compensation or revenge.

You will, not mine, be done oh Lord. May Your kingdom come, not mine. Amen!
