His Plans

For I know the plans I have for you” — this is the Lord ’s declaration — “plans for your welfare, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
Jeremiah 29:11 HCSB

This verse was a part of a word spoken through the prophet Jeremiah to the children of Israel who had been taken into Babylon by Nebuchadnezzar. God had told them to settle down, marry and have children as they would be there for 70 years.

We must remember why the children of Israel went there in the first place. They had turned away from their God and were learning faithfulness in a heathen land and culture where idol worship was not something you played with, it was serious business.

This was what God was looking for: You will call to Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.
Jeremiah 29:12‭-‬13

In the not so pleasant seasons of our lives God is there but we will also be there, in that place we dont particularly like, until the time is up. When He calls, "Times up!" It is over. The people were ready, then, to go back and rebuild their city and God too would send all they needed, the right leaders and the right equipment.

God has it! All things are used by Him for a purpose. I saw on the news that missionary Andrew Brunson was released from Turkey. He has been in detention for a few years now. God only knows what He wanted Andrew to do in that time and who He wanted him to speak to. God uses all, even our stumbling. He is good!

I have had 15 dark years but now the light is shining as I discover God is indeed there in all areas and He is indeed good, very good! We can trust Him!
