Keep Your Minds

Finally, my friends, keep your minds on whatever is true, pure, right, holy, friendly, and proper. Don't ever stop thinking about what is truly worthwhile and worthy of praise.
Philippians 4:8 CEVDC

Keeping our minds on good things is a challenge when news feeds are negative. What to do? Do we isolate ourselves or insulate ourselves? Isolation puts the light under a bushel. Insulation allows us to be present but not impacted to uselessness and still available.

How do we insulate ourselves? Put on the armour given: the belt of truth; the breastplate of righteousness; the helmet of salvation; shoes of the gospel; shield of faith and sword of the spirit.

We need to understand our salvation as it will protect our minds and this is where the fiercest battle rages. As we understand the grace of God, the forgiveness of God and His rich love towards us then the scripture is our passion as it is here He talks to us. We must allow the word of God to dwell richly in us. As we know the word of God it shows us truth which is around our body, as we know the word we will be effective with the sword of the spirit and the shield of faith.

As we use our armour daily we are ready to share the good news with others and this is what we are here for. Get to know what you are given and walk in it! Amen!
