Staying on Course

You’re blessed when you stay on course, walking steadily on the road revealed by God . You’re blessed when you follow his directions, doing your best to find him. That’s right—you don’t go off on your own; you walk straight along the road he set. You, God , prescribed the right way to live; now you expect us to live it. Oh, that my steps might be steady, keeping to the course you set; Then I’d never have any regrets in comparing my life with your counsel. I still remember a message by Pastor Phil Pringle about staying on course. As a sailor he used a maritime illustration. In bad weather, coming in to port, it is imperative to know your markers and stay focused on your course. You cannot afford, for a moment, to take your eyes off the markers or you will find yourself a wreck on the rocks.

Jesus tells us to keep our eyes on Him. He is our lighthouse and we can trust Him. Let Him lead and cling to Him as you would to a life vest. Amen!
