Blessed One

The King who comes in the name of the Lord is the blessed One. Peace in heaven and glory in the highest heaven! Luke 19:38 HCSB

This is what the crowd and disciples were calling out about Jesus. Even though Jesus had told His disciples He was to die, they did not get it.

This blessed One was about to be betrayed, handed over to His enemies and crucified. If this is how they treat the blessed One, I am happy to be unblessed by the crowd. I don't trust crowds. Herd mentality prevails in crowds.

Still, I am grateful that Jesus went to Jerusalem anyway. By dying He cleansed me from my sins. If He had, instead, chosen to be made king we would still be lost in our muck.
