Gentle Answers

Were you tested today? I was! I had visitors from my astronomy club come to discuss, astronomy of course. However my lovely, gregarious mum entered into animated, loud, conversation with the woman and I struggled to communicate with the husband. He kept saying: "there should be only one conversation as this is hard," however my mum and his wife ignored him. I tried to quieten my mum to no avail. This is an ongoing problem I have.

Praise God I did not become irritated and cross. It was close but I made it through. My brother came and took mum out but instead of apologising to me she apologised to my brother for commandeering him every week at church. Ah! Such is life!

Tonight I had a reprieve as I went out alone to astronomy and did a talk on the equinox. It was fun and I had a good night. I wonder what it would have been like if I had a bad attitude? Mmm!
