Taking bread, he blessed it, broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, given for you. Eat it in my memory.” Luke 22:19 MSG
Each year we remember our fallen heroes from all the wars Australia has been involved with. Anzac day falls on the 25th of April. Not only are we celebrating Easter we are also gearing up to celebrate Anzac Day.
We do many things to remember our fallen dead: we March and have street parades, we do speeches, show movies. For many this is a sad occasion.
Celebrating Easter is similar, except our hero not only died, but He rose again, fulfilling His promise to be the final sacrifice for sin. God honoured Jesus by bringing Him back to life and seating Him on high at His right hand. No tears here, just intense and deep gratitude. Thank You Jesus!
Tomorrow is Good Friday. What a day! Tomorrow we remember the sacrifice, but Sunday is coming. Then we celebrate!
