Love One Another

“I give you a new command: Love one another. Just as I have loved you, you must also love one another. By this all people will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34‭-‬35 HCSB

This command was for the followers of Christ. Love as He loved. What does that love look like? I suppose Paul, who was not one of the initial followers, got it right in 1 Cor 13:
Love is patient and kind, love endures all things, love forgives, love never fails. (Summary)

To know what this love looks like we need to read the gospels. We see that love is generous and giving, it lays down it's life for it's fellow man and it spends time with the Father.

At Easter we consider the ultimate gift: Jesus gave His life for us, buying us restoration with the Father and an eternity with Him. He rose again in that life to show us the way.

Dying to self and rising to life in Him. This is love! Amen!
