Where is the Crop?

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but it is God’s power to us who are being saved.
1 Corinthians 1:18 HCSB

The message of the cross is only 'foolishness' to some. All those who do not yet know Christ are not all in this category. Our challenge is to find the treasure. How do we find the treasure in a mine? We dig, we sift. How do we make an opportunity to find treasure in our own backyard? We make room for people.

I have made room for the people in my street and now watch as they talk to one another, children play with one another. Now I want more.

I have a plan and God willing it will bear fruit. I am going to do two things: create a street kids club and also a Sunday morning pancake kitchen, once a month, in my backyard. I want a place my neighbors feel at home.

As we make room for people then we both get to know one another and opportunities arise. If we are sowing seed then we will find the soil that yields the crop. We have to first sow the seed. Then we will see where the crop is growing.
