Reverent Fear

Serve the Lord with reverent fear, and rejoice with trembling.
Psalms 2:11 NLT

My son has four boys and a girl. All the children know when they can have fun with their dad and when to be quiet and listen. They know their dad is boss. They respect his authority.

If I have reverent fear for my God I respect Him and know my limits. I cannot disregard His commands and expect He is not looking or that He does not care, He does.

Tonight I am watching my grandson train in Hapkido, a form of self-defence. The instructor us definitely in charge. Things are done in strict order and respect is given. We cannot assume our God is lazy and not vigilant. He is vigilant and He is training us in righteousness. Amen!
