The Fullness of God

And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him.
 Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness. 
Don’t let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, rather than from Christ. 
For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body.  So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.
Colossians 2:6‭-‬10 NLT

Today I am challenged with the more of Christ. I am now entering a new phase of my life. My mother, for whom I was carer, died yesterday and now I am free to walk a new path.

I had been praying for an outpouring of awareness of sin and need for repentance. I walked out of church being myself convicted. It was good to know God heard my prayer and started with me. This helps me know He is answering that prayer.

Lord, may Your kingdom come, Your will be done. Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
